This time, I think I made it right with this Vilanelle form.

Tell me baby, tell me now

Am I strong enough to stand right?

Show me the way, please show me how.

Just take a moment, make a bow

There’s no wrong to forget our fight

Tell me baby, tell me now.

Don’t forget we have that vow

Our pledge to always walk in the light

Show me the way, please show me how.

Don’t you remember why and how

We took our first move, our first flight

Tell me baby, tell me now.

Always remember until now

All I want is to be with your light

Show me the way, please show me how.

Just come back here, just do it now

Let’s change a bit with all our might

Tell me baby, tell me now

Show me the way, please show me how.

* The Villanelle is a nineteen-line poem with two repeating rhymes and two refrains. The form is made up of five tercets followed by a quatrain. The first and third lines of the opening tercet are repeated alternately in the last lines of the succeeding stanzas; then in the final stanza, the refrain serves as the poem's two concluding lines. Using capitals for the refrains and lowercase letters for the rhymes, the form could be expressed as: A1 b A2 / a b A1 / a b A2 / a b A1 / a b A2 / a b A1 A2.
