THE WANDERER

THE WANDERER

A Chapter by Dhaye
"

I keep on...

"

I am a wanderer  and  I always run
But I don't remember when it all begun

I used to cross the bridges that I see
Finding comfort which is so aloof to me

I crossed the oceans just to see the thing I want
But I always end in a mourn or in a rant

I hate the darkness which has been my thick blanket
For I want to see the light to be my sheet

Now I sail again in this wavy sea
I am not alone for your word is my company

Yes, only your word is here by my side
But I fear how long can I stand this messy ride...

Your piece reminds me of this timeless song from my favorite song writer James Taylor ...

I've been wanderin' early and late
From New York City to the Golden Gate
And it don't look like
I'll ever stop my wanderin'

My daddy was an engineer
My brother drives a hack
My sister takes in laundry
While the baby balls a jack
And it don't look like
I'll ever stop my wanderin'

I've been in the army
I worked on a farm
And all I've got to show
is the muscle in my arm
And it don't look like
I'll ever stop my wanderin'

My mom she died when I was young
My daddy took stealin' and he got hung
And it don't look like
I'll ever stop my wanderin'

Snakes in the ocean
Eels in the sea
I let a redheaded woman
make a fool out of me
And it don't look like
I'll ever stop my wanderin'

This is very nice Dhaye ... I can relate to your piece ... I been doing a lot of wondering instead of wandering ...

A wanderer who lost his compass would end up in circle. But there is even more powerful than a compass or any device that could lead us back home: love and faith.
