Poem 18. LOVE IN THE RAIN

I always see them here...

I gazed at the open window of my room

To see the same story in the afternoon

I see him standing at the front door of that home

She welcomes him with heart as big as moon.

 

She kisses him with such  sweet, cherry lips

Then hugs him tight like they had never  met

But all the truth was everytime she sleeps

He’s there beside her ‘til the time she wakes.

 

And when the morning comes I see them, too

They kiss and hug like one should never go

Even if raindrops fall, these loving duo

The kiss stays longer like love that comes anew.

 

Oh, such a love, a kind I’ve never seen

But only here in my lavish windowpane

It comes like pouring sweetened miracle

That makes the love stronger under the rain.

 

How I envy the things that I can see

That love I dreamed only for you and me…

Whereas i really must remember to keep my curtains pulled close ... :) (joking .. I can see the delight you feel when seeing the couple's love and closeness. There's something magical seen when you observe how it is between people.. how the touches become more than they are because they etch into each other's hearts and.. so forth. You've captured the scenes superbly well, Dhaye.

LOL. I'm talking of a different window. But of course, seeing a sweet couple like that makes me happy (opposite of the ending couplets there)..sometimes a little exaggeration can make the piece more effective. I want to be an angel of love so that all couples will be as happy as that couple. LOL.

It's difficult to know exactly what is happening between two people....if you are not one of those two! Still, when two people seem to have the idyllic relationship it is difficult not to wonder why you can not have such joy as well. Your imagery is stunning and the emotions are well expressed. First thing came to mind: peeping tom. =). i could almost see the couple kissing from my window pane.

There are couples that are expressive and showy of their feelings and there are those that are very reserved. There's really no need to compare because we have different way of expressing our affections. Rhyme scheme is great.
