LIKE A CHILD (Couplets)

LIKE A CHILD (Couplets)

A Chapter by Dhaye
"

Could we?

"

Sometimes it's better to be like a child
So innocent and free, but not that wild

There are so simple things to make her calm
Relaxed with what she can hold in her arm

She cries when those things seem so bad and wrong
But smiles when she hears her favorite song

Oh, my love, why shouldn't we have a heart
One which so soft and so pure like a child?

Would be nice to have the heart and the mind of a child. Children are not born with hate or fear. I agree with the logic of the poem. We would be more content if we desired to enjoy life, not fight against it. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

That is the truth if we would look at things as innocently as children would be great. They hold no hate or malice .Your poem is lovely and oh so true:)
