I've heard your voice Sobbing Screaming For the pain you endure For the broken wings For the things undone. I've seen your picture Behind the mask. You tried to hide But your words speak too much And I can hear the same notes Of your songs Your poetry paints the same picture Of the rainy days And of the sleepless nights. I've heard The same chant, I've seen The same image When I looked in the mirror...
Often times when I read a piece of poetry, and when I can relate to it, it mirrors some or huge chunks of my life. In this piece I see myself hiding on the shadows of my past, being restless at night and looking normal at day, well I can't even tell which is normal for me anymore. Very nice piece Dhaye.
