Poem 13. THOSE RAINY DAYS

Poem 13. THOSE RAINY DAYS

A Chapter by Dhaye
"

Inspired by my first photography project with the title as the theme.

"

Those rainy days... wow!
Ah, I still smile until now.
You just came to show me how

Those rainy days I became so bad
I always pout and get mad
For the discomfort and woes I had

Oh, those rainy days, I mean
Those days of tears and pain
I do associate with the poor rain

Then you came along and show
Those things I do not know
Now, I love the rain, it's true

But those rainy days don't stay
For the sunshine's on the way
Now, I ask for another rainy day...

Some find the rain to be a metaphor for tears, or don't enjoy that weather. But I too, love the rain. It washes the skies clear in my city, feeds the plants and greens the mountains in this otherwise desert... But more than anything else, it reminds me of my childhood and home that I miss, where it rained a thousand times more... So I am always wishing for rain now too. Maybe I shouldn't say that though, some in this world have too much rain. Such dear thoughts you express here, to treasure each moment, and those who teach you to find beauty in the rain.
And I hope you are well & safe...
