Poem 70. I WANT TO EAT

Poem 70. I WANT TO EAT

A Chapter by Dhaye
"

anything

"

I want to eat anything
Without control, without choosing
I want to chew, I want everything
Just to fill up this stomach which is aching.

I want to eat anything
But I am afraid to return to beginning
When I almost get ill because of dieting
And my effort will just go to nothing.

I want to eat anything
And so I have to do something
To fill this stomach which is now aching
Ah, fake hunger, they say, so I must rely on drinking.

Yes, drinking,  but not what you are thinking
I have to drink water before I can't control this craving...

They say drinking a glass of water before every meal will help curb the appetite. Not sure that really works, but it is worth a try. It is admirable to try to stay fit and be on a diet regimen, but certainly not easy. Wouldn't it be lovely to eat anything you wanted and never have to worry about weight gain, cholesterol, or other problems? I can identify with your words. Lydi**
