Poem 67. LIKE AN EAGLE

My dear MICVHS

I see her now as a soaring eagle

Taking its flight with those resilient wings

If other birds can fly and can mingle

She’s now ahead, only the best she brings.

 

I can see her, too like a young adult

Who had been striving for missions and goals

She never surrendered nor taken a halt

As leader, companion- her noble roles.

 

Going back to where she started as child

My dear school, MICVHS

She was that simple, so modest and mild

When you leave her once, you will surely miss.

                           

Oh, her vast meadow in those early days

Has now become a center for learning

Technology, now a trend, be amazed

Vocational and Technical training.

 

Yes, she’s soaring now in her excellence

Academic sides, she’ll never be left

Tech-voc skills, assured competence

For dear students, she is a true  gift.

 

Who can tell me how and when she would stop?

Never came to my mind she’ll just sit down

Persistent and burly, intense and tough

Creating a name as talk of  the town.

 

Who would refuse to lift and praise her name

The one that provided the most effective tool?

Who would forget the one that brings the same

To become productive and a teeming soul?

 

I see her now as a soaring eagle

Taking its flight while in the air she sings

Come fly with her, come on in and mingle

MICVHS, go, spread your wings!

I enjoyed the story. I like the way described life and school. I like the use of the Eagle. My High School is still a part of me. Is where we learn what life is truly is. I like the energy and positive feel of the poem. A strong ending to a outstanding poem.
