ETCHED

ETCHED

A Chapter by Dhaye
"

Forever...

"

I open my hands and I let it fly away.

But why can I feel little pricks in my heart

And the tears are just so irrepressible  like before?

Now, I know

The mark is not skin-deep

And it will be etched forever

In my heart

Until

I die.

This is the video version of this poem. Enjoy!

Short but so imaginative and powerful in emotion, you release and give freedom despite the yearning to hold onto something that must fly ! But you will always remember !

A deep, romantic poem that says so much in so few words, a very special piece of poetry Dhaye !

The symbolism of using the butterfly to represent dear things that you must let go Dhaye is stunning, as is the descriptive nature of your poetry and the images chosen.
I enjoyed allowing myself to let go when i read this.
