THE DAY I DIED

THE DAY I DIED

A Chapter by Dhaye
"

was when I lived again

"

The day I break down
Was when you called me
I'm beyond the pale.
Bizarre. So weird. A nobody.

For the second time, you said
That you don't know me
like the back of your hand.
The blade-
It cuts, deeply buried within
My soul. I cried
Like a drowning soul
without something
To hold on.

The day I gave up the ghost
Was when I have to wake up
from my nightmare. I
Must blank you over
For once my soul
Has owned by you
And I have lived like a shadow.
But now I have
To redeem my spirit.

The day I died-
A time to remember
That once in my life
I was lost in my own world
But also the time
I was connected with my soul
And now I shall live again
As a free spirit.

I perished...
To live again.

... You said, that you don't know me... How utterly heartbreaking is that, to be told that the one you love doesn't feel you know each other at all.. And when love dies , it is a death of the self as well... But sometimes the only way to heal is to let your heart break, let it go and fall apart... As long as we cling, we can never be reborn... Haunting, and ever do I know this... Thanks Marguerite, for pointing me to this piece...
