WHERE I AM (Rhyme)

WHERE I AM (Rhyme)

A Chapter by Dhaye
"

my place

"

Under my rounded ceiling
I looked at the light that is never fading
I breathe with this intense feeling
I have prepared my favorite bedding.
Do I have to go on sleeping
When my mind is now wandering?

My laptop is in front of me
My best friend, never an enemy
I call her baby, my sweet Desiree
The one which makes me free
From the burdens of being me
With her I can write my simple plea.

Beside Desiree is my fave book
"Nuggets of Wisdom" to which I am hooked
Lots of motivation, there what I took.
Then one thing more is "The Brook",
My painting facing at me in a nook
Makes me remember how I look.

The Bible? It's just waiting there
When I go to bed, I'll read it then
Not now that I'm still thinking
Trying to push myself in writing
Once my dream I have believed in
But now, I am slack like I'm falling.

Oh, I can't live without this
My room, my favorite space.
Though it looks messy, now at least
I have my own site of this bliss
My articles anyone could miss.
Where I am now is a perfect twist.

All of us have our places of peace. My place is my kitchen, coffee and my computer to read and write. I like the description of your computer and your room. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Yes, there's a quiet place for us to reflect, and to work.
