A Tribute to a Friend

I hear your song echoes in the midst of the  night

With my bare feet, I walk in the dark

Just to see you, the voice that I hear

Never care of the risks I have to bear.

 

 

Your voice guides me where I should go

The echoes are the trails and now I can see you

You tell me some stories which makes me ponder

I laugh at every humorous word while we chatter.

 

 

Who shall forget you as my tour guide?

You lead me into my world, now I don’t have to hide

For I am now complete, an artist of my kind

Your song pushes me up to take pleasure of my mind.

Beautiful tribute. But to an unkown friend? Now that sounds weird. Don't get me wrong, your poem is full of awesomeness and the gratefulness you felt for that person is made obvious on each line. It's a shame that the person remained unknown. I think an extra mile is needed to give justice to this piece. Great one Miss dhaye!

Yes, an unknown friend the time I'm making this poem, Maryanne. He's the one I mentioned in my featured story before. I only know him in his FB page. We have a short conversation at my page last last night (I as "Hear My Mind", while he's "Songs of the Lucky Unlucky Guy"). I am a fan of his page and regularly liking and sharing his poem at FB so he's wondering who I am. I just said I'm a writer now here in WC and my pen name is Dhaye.
Perhaps, I have to change the description because I saw him already last night. I don't know if he has read that story, or this poem.

When somebody gave me a favor, he's a friend for me.

So he is technically no longer unknown:) That's an interesting way to start a friendship. Well some good things start from strange beginnings. Who knows? It's my pleasure, Miss dhaye!

Haha. Anong interesting way to start a friendship? Bahala siya if ayaw niya ng friendship. Basta ako, nakikipag-friend ako sa kanya dito kasi friends kami sa FB though hindi kami magkakilala doon. Nag-online siya kagabi, pero walang review galing sa kanya. That means deadma. Hehe. Matanda na kasi yun, nahihiya siguro kasi mas matanda pala ko. Lol. :) I never expect of some good things to happen for "some good things never last" (theme song ko yun), buti pang wag na lang. Lol. :) Hindi naman talaga, I'm just grateful kasi siya nagbigay ng link nitong Writerscafe kaya andito ako now. Hmnn... iba naman dating nyang "who knows" na yan. Waley yan..

A very feel good poem. Reading through it brought a smile to my face. I think the second paragraph had some mistakes. But overall, a thoroughly satisfying read.

'You told me some stories I have to reflect'- it should be 'reflect on'. In the next line, it should be spoke instead of speak. And in the second line of your last paragraph, you should consider replacing 'lead'' with 'led'. I think these changes might improve the flow of the poem.
