CHAPTER VII. THE REVELATIONA Chapter by Dhaye“C-Clarisse!” a familiar voice made me tremble again. I stopped watering the plants in my garden. I turned my back towards the person. It’s him! “M-Miguel,” I don’t know what should I say or what should I do. I want to hug him tight. I want to kiss him. I want to be with him. Oh, I really missed him so much! But I gathered all my strength not to show him what I really feel. “Can we talk?” he asked me. I did not answer. “Clarisse, I love you,” he said that made me tremble again. “We can never be a happy family again. I don’t love her. I love you, Clarisse.” I gathered all my strength to say the worst words I have to tell him to make him stop. “Enough, Miguel. I don’t love, and I didn’t love you from the start.” “C-Clarisse? What are you talking about? But you said that…” “A-All this time, you made me believe that you love me. I have loved you so much and I started fixing everything to make us free,” he said while his tears are starting to fall. No! He’s just acting, Clarisse. Don’t be fooled by him again this time. “I-I’m sorry. Miguel. Just fix everything to make your family happy. Stay with your wife. Nico needs a whole family.” I said. “N-Nico loves you, too.” “Don’t ever use Nico to fool me, Miguel! Please, leave me alone.” “Leave her alone!” a voice came from my back. “R-Rico!” Miguel’s face is full of questions. “He’s Rico, my boyfriend,” I lied again. It seems that Rico blushed but recovered immediately. “Yes, nice meeting you…” Rico offered his hand but Miguel didn’t accept it. “He’s Miguel,” I said. “Okay, I’m sorry Miguel, but we have something to talk. If you will excuse us,” Rico said to him. “C-Clarisse, I know you still love me. I know you are just lying to me. Please, go back to me,” Miguel insisted. “G-Goodbye, Miguel.” “C-Clarisse.” I turned my back to him while my heart is like being pressed. It was the most difficult word to say to someone whom I had given all of myself. Miguel started to walk away. I felt pity on him. He’s still the father of my baby. Should I tell him the truth?
“M-Miguel,” I called his name for the last time. “I’m pregnant,” I revealed to him, pretending to be strong in his sight. This is the most difficult decision I have made at this time. “You are the father.” “C-Clarisse,” he stepped forward trying to hold me. But Rico is there to save me. This time Miguel won’t hurt me once more. Not anymore. © 2013 DhayeFeatured Review
