The Painter

The Painter

A Chapter by Daisie Vergara (Dhaye)

Colors of red, black and gray

Not other hues, a big dismay

The shadows of my past go with red

Of jealousy and distrust, agony and hatred

Black was my sin, and my dying hope when I was once betrayed was gray.

You weave a tale well with these three colors. Great form - very unique!

Thanks, Rita. I appreciate your nice words. :)

Yes it is difficult to paint a life with only three colors. But I trust a true artist can see beautiful things out of the ordinary. No wonder those colors were already in your past:) A very good poem with a good format, nothing left unstated:)
