Poem 6. New Life

Poem 6. New Life

A Chapter by Dhaye
"

New Life

"

The days when my heart was full of anger were gone.

My heart now is aiming

To be as clean as an innocent child

To reform my broken soul.

The waves are coming now and then.

Too weak faith can be drowned into the deepest sea of eternal sin.

But I have to be strong.

I have to stand for what I believe.

I have to strengthen my faith.

I have to believe that God had sown in me the seed of love

To forgive and forget.

Hatred must be washed away.

It must be gone.

New life…

I know it is not easy to achieve

But the Lord will help me in this battle.

I know…

I agree with you. The Lord loves us the way we are. He will change what He wants , when He wants. He chose deciples that were greatly flawed. He then showed them true love. His love made them new men, in due time.

Thanks, VDP. You always encourage me with your words. God bless!
Very inspirational words for those who are desparately trying to seek what you've managed to find; letting go of a painful past, having faith in God, and finding peace in your heart. It's amazing how much peace we can feel when we learn to finally let go of those stored-up angry feelings deep inside us. I guess that's why God tells us to never go to bed at night with an angry heart--so we can start a happy "New Life" in a brand new day! Great write and perfect title!

Hello dhaye. Thank you for reviewing and commenting on my poem.
It's a nice blessing isn't it to find a gift amongst life that if we hadn't taken that particular turning we would never have found.
So doing the lovely celebratory video of a new commitment to your life you discover a poem, and such a heartfelt one full of beauty that reflects the true you.
Bless you and keep writing. Am looking forward to getting to know you more.

Dhaye, I felt a lot of conviction in the voice of the poetic persona.
You are gifted with a good command of the English language that's why you were able to clearly and coherently convey the whole point of the poem.
Content wise, it's full of conviction and of spiritual value. Syntactically, the poem is clear and free-flowing.

I wish I could say those words in your poem to the very me.
Well, we are all sinners. But I think it's also part of our nature to ask for a divine intervention when we are at the brink of falling down or apart. =)

Thank you for sharing this piece, Dhaye.

You're welcome. =)
I can see that you're happy with your new life now.
Nice poem. =)
I like this poem for its good message and positivism. Religions can be good or bad depending on how we interpret them and apply them... At the end all has to start with the self and then to be as light to the world.
I take the universal message in all the world's religions and try to apply those principles in my daily life.
Thank you for sharing your Love for the LORD or any name we may call Him...:)

A positive and beautiful poem. I enjoyed the video also. We must forgive our enemies and than ourselves. Hard to do. To know peace. Forgiveness is the key to a good life. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.
