FacadeA Poem by bethtomFree verse
Your face allures kings and peasants alike.
Coffins stop at your doorstep, bidding a final goodbye to the love they never had. What witchcraft lies behind your angelic smile? Laughing is what you cal it, Though I am unsure if it really is. Inside that rib cage engulfing your heart, Is that a wolf howling from deep inside? Sultress, you truly are.
Every motion, every maneuver Sways to a rhythm only you know about. What devilish beat are you up to now? Riddles, puzzles, mazes: oh how you love 'em! For they conceal your enigma That whosoever can uncover, be yours forever. But wait, have you solved the devils yourself yet? © 2019 bethtom |
