You are wise and rare in your generation. As a whole people seem to become more apathetic and more self absorbed as society ages. It gives me hope to know that there are young people that still care. My mother was an activist in the 60s-70s and I grew up being taught that one person CAN change the world. Words are a powerful tool and you use them brilliantly. Kudos!

I like it and pretty much agree with you. Also, it's less "poem-like" and almost like a statement/warning. A Pleasure to read, thanks for the read request.
The message you presented was put forth starkly, the pursuit of knowledge has been eating away at the world like acid. Development requires sacrifice, and our race sacrifices only too willingly, looking at what we get now and not the consequences.
this is one of those, in the words of metallica, "sad but true" moments we are destroying our world! and it is because of all those know-it-all greedy people out there.... wonderfully spoken, and overall a great poem... keep up the great work
We could ahve been the angel protectors of paradise, but instead we are the demonic rulers of hell. very well said, but there may be hope yet....
take care, spence
