MomentsA Poem by hazyTo my brother
Rain slicks in giddy puddles
dancing in the dizzy spin of tires droplets racing lazily down the windowpane glittering gleefully against gently glowing streetlights I’ll miss it, I miss it I already know that I will Because time slows to a crawling roll That spins against the radios symphony in the sweet, sweet darkness I wish I could capture a moment in a poem But the breath of memory is far too fleeting For my clumsy fingers to steal So roll down the windows a crack To let the sky wind it’s way through and remind us to keep breathing For we are young and alive and as free as we’ll ever be And, and, I miss you already © 2023 hazyReviews
