Silver SweetA Poem by hazyA poem about the longing for freedom
I want a silent twilight
Where I can vanish out the window And walk underneath the trees I’ll tell them my childish dreams Under the comfort of swaying branches And frost bitten wind Of the gentle chill of January “My bones ache,” I sigh, “For the silver sweet taste of freedom” Freedom, freedom, freedom, I say, but oh, I don’t truly want that For the trees don’t make good company, and a walk drenched in silver sweet freedom Is still a walk of solitude © 2023 hazyAuthor's Note
