It’s the “is that alright?”s and the jacket that smells like you and the “are you just going to stand there or are you going to put your arm around me?”
You have completely and totally bewitched me
Who am I to deny the dizzying giddiness of my untethered heart?
Instead of telling you “of course” (because how am I supposed to explain the impossible weight of my afflictions?), I just smile at you

I don’t know how to possibly explain how every breath you take etches into my soul and your words ring around my head far after they leave your lips
