Little brother older sister

Little brother older sister

A Story by Lacey
"

It's my brother's birthday and he is 10 years old now double digits and even though I'm only 16 he makes me feel old and he is my superhero.

"

A very special day for a very special person going into the double digits. 10 years old man you’re making me feel older than I really am.

As your big sister, I will hold your hand all the years through, Hold my hand little brother for I will always love and protect you. Until you’ve counted little fingers, counted little toes, held a little hand, kissed a little nose, soothed a little tummy, read to little ears, powered a little booty, wipe away little tears, You haven’t known love. You are my brother, you are my superhero, daring magnificent amazing & courageous. You are my best friend for life. My buddy through thick and thin builds forts, skip rocks, jumps in puddles, gets dirty, defends, protects, supports, always up for an adventure even in the dark. You are my brother. You are my hero. To the outside world we all grow old, but not to brothers & sisters.

We know each other as we always were, we know each other's hearts, We share private family jokes that no one else gets, We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs, & joys. We live outside the touch of time. It's so hard to a big sister, I'm like a younger version of a mom. Sometimes I look in the mirror and say in my head sometimes it better to be a big sister than to be a princess. Although my little brother can be a pain in my neck I always miss him since he doesn't live with us and he lives with his mom. He can be annoying sometimes, but I still love him endlessly. When we were little I still remember how he could not keep secrets so brittle. You gave all you had to get me something that would make me sad. Today, I smile at it on your birthday. Nothing compares to that little heart in any possible way. Warm birthday wishes Little One.
