Best Friends stay beside me

Best Friends stay beside me

A Poem by Lacey
"

my ex-best friend and I were so close and she moved away and we stopped being friends because she kinda treated me terrible and I still considered her my best friend.

"
When tears fell from my eyes
You were there to brush them away
When I was lost in confusion
You were there to say everything would be okay

When I stood before you falling apart
You were there to lend your heart
When I felt like no one could understand
You were there to take my hand
When no one else was left to care
You were there to make sure I knew you cared
Even though you stuck by my ex boyfriend
You treated me worse
I considered you my best friend
But I realized what a real best friend really was
Thanks to you I know to watch
for crappy best friends who date your ex boyfriend behind your back.

So you also found out that friends are meaningless in existence, I see. A painful and costly lesson, but one you'll learn time and time again. It's a shame that people suck, but they do indeed. Self-serviant, self-absorbed, and only out for no one but themselves. I'm sorry you had to learn this painful but valuable lesson.
