You’re Assistance

You’re Assistance

A Chapter by J. Viands

Do I need your assistance?

In order to see I’m a selfish egotistical a*****e

Today I understand nice guys finish last

So I’ll use it as a tool

Then throw it away when I’m done with you

Meet every expectation you had

For a broken little boy

One who looked for sanctuary in you

I thank you for this self-esteem boost

For assuring me I have no reason to trust you

If not then everything my drunken mother said was true

“The only one you care about is you”

All the while with a bottle at her lips

Without it did the words somehow improve?

Explain to me the circles in which you speak

That is if you’re convinced I need you

If not I can stand by myself

A drunk will seemingly always let you down

What reason do I have to trust you?
