Strangely ready

Strangely ready

A Poem by hayzed
"

It’s just al I could say

"
Strangely ready

Once upon a moment
I sat suavely in this road
Not in the middle
By the road side
With saxophone in my hold
And I played a tender tune,
to please ...
to cater ...
to anger ...

Today, as I sit by this road
Let me learn the road
With a microphone in my hold
As I sweetly sing, a hearty song
to forgive
to be true
to freely believe
Even as scornful eagles linger
to succeed
to love

I’ve been such so peccable,
I crave to be forgiven, as well
and be loved
I’m strangely ready

I like that oxymoron, strangely ready.
When we can sing that song of forgiveness for ourselves and others. When we can make peace with ourselves....that road becomes smoother...and maybe soon we can fly with those scornful Eagles by their side...and be embraced.

wow...incredibly vulnerable poem sir ... i can't help but in answer to your protagonist .. and God has always been ready and waiting for you ;) God's Son Jesus Christ showing us all exactly who God is .. love the saxophone ... the imagery of the road side ... not the middle (that's important) ... makes me think of Crossroads actually ... only he held a guitar ;) https://youtu.be/GsB_cGdgPTo
