chapter 1 part 1- A beginningA Chapter by braylin smithHell. Thats what i have come to know of this world now. As i look out into the club, i envy the humans around me. They can have a short great life. Find lovers, have children, grow old and die. I on the other hand, was stuck at 20. Forever young in a world were its sometimes better to be older. It was almost unfair. These rude annoying...things would be able to live the lives they wanted and i was stuck here at this age forever. 'You're so negative', the words echoed in my mind; projected by my brother who was enjoying himself by surrounding himself with a group of delicious looking women. He had a cocky grin on his face as he glanced in my direction. 'Bite me Audric' I projected back as i turned back to the bartender; who places two more vodka shots in front of me. Thank god my kind cant die from alcohol poisoning because im pretty sure any human who consumes this much would be dead by now. Audric seems to want to annoy as he tries to invade my mind again, but i put my walls up before he can talk; ignoring him. i glare at him just in time to see his lips quiver; trying to stop the laugh that eventuly bubbles from his lips before dragging a brunette down a back hallway. Poor girl. Audric has taken a likeing to brunettes this week. The girl will be dead by morning. The thought of audric feeding brings me back to the reason im here with him tonight. After locking myself in my study for 2 weeks straight with my favorite books, audric forced his way in and made me come out to atleast eat. But so far no one has caught my attention. At this rate i might as well just take one of the blonde idiots giggleing at the drunk boys. "Ugh! Can you believe the guys here?! Just because i didnt come in hanging on some guy's arm doesnt mean you can grope me!" a girl complains as she stands next to me and waves her hand toward the bartender. She is pretty, with strawberry blonde hair that stops at her pale shoulders. Her skin is so white i can see the vein under her skin and my mouth waters. Unlike most girls here, she wears little make up and i can just make out the splash of freckles that dances along her cheeks. Her eyes show a hint of humor and sarcasm. And maybe just a hint of annoyance. The scent of her blood hits me and smells like a fine wine; just perfect. "well, i can assure you that as long as you stand with me no guy will touch you" i say as i smile at her; careful to make it look friendly and not predatory. She grins back and sticks out her hand "i'm angel" she replys, her tone amused. "Riley" i say, takeing her hand in mine. © 2013 braylin smith |
