The Real worldA Story by braylin smithsomthing i wrote last year and never really knew what to do with. its just something i wrote one night trying to get rid of writers block. Its funny how time seems to fly by on you get older. Its funny how people stop beliveing in "living in the moment" and only worry about the troublesome future. Somtimes i wonder if we all do it on purpose; like instead of having to deal with things now we push everything to the side so we can focus our attention on getting a letter from some collage or passing a test. I wonder what would happen if we just stopped and took a breath. Would we all feel calm or would that toxic breath make us all cough like chain smokers? And i wonder if the 'Real World' is as great as i picture it; where people find love and get the jobs that they wanted and have a home and children. where two lovers would grow old and happy together and be fine and ok. sadly i'm not stupid and i can't pretend to be for much longer. The world is dirty; disgusting at times and so are most of the people in it. Peole are so afraid of love that they often lose it and really no one ever gets the job they hoped for. Most people have no homes and when they beg for just pocket change they get called drunks and a waste to society by men in armani suits. Parents fight and divorce, and children get hurt by it. And really, noone is ever ok. so now, i wonder how can i stop this? how can i stop this from becomeing me? i panic because i dont want to live this life in this dirty unclean world. i dont want to look over my shoulder every day and find the inevitable lurking just in the shadows. how can i stop the pain and heartache and worthlessness i will feel in the futre? how can i stop this? the answer: i have to let it happen. this world tears people apart but sometimes, just sometimes; it can put them back together. every heartache is for a purpose. every struggle makes you tougher and next time when you feel those pains again and it doesnt bother you as much? its not because you have no pain. your just not afraid of hurting and feeling that pain because you know its for the good of your life in the end. so yes this world is horrible. people are evil at times and the air can seem toxic. but im damn glad i live in the 'real world'. © 2013 braylin smithReviews
