A Waste of Space (song)A Poem by HayleyUm, a song about what I don't what to be, but what I am a lot of the time.
G___________________C
There was a man always looking up and a girl who couldn't not look down. They walked upon the same ground, and they never once looked around. Well the grass was blue and the sky green and her hair it was velveteen. The stood shoulder to shoulder, nose to nose treading on each others toes. Well they shuffled along in their misery not seeing what the other could see. Now the only thing he loved was the moon, he ignored the girls he made swoon. Chorus: (D, C, G, C) Time passes slow when we're on our own, alone in a crowd, empty at home. Turn off the light's, lock the door and fall asleep in your clothes on the floor and just be a waste, a waste of space V: My fears could not be corrected cause I couldn't control how I projected. My thoughts and my words are jumbled confusion just like the end of this union. Well I don't want to be a waste, a waste, waste, waste of space Not a waste of space, not today. An overgrown mirror for an undergrown soul will she ever feel whole? Lipstick smears across her face foundation rubs off onto her lace. (Chorus) Ending: The interesting thing about me is that I have nothing to bring to the table, to the table to the table, to the table. Time passes slow when we're on our own alone in a crowd, empty at home. Turn on the TV and off the phone I'm doing fine on my own. And I will be a waste of space, a waste, waste, waste of space. © 2011 HayleyAuthor's Note
