Revalation From the Lost

Revalation From the Lost

A Poem by Ambassidor in Chains

I think I finally know,

I finally, actually understand.

Why do we bask in our pain from loss?

Because it's the last we'll ever get.

We sit in the pain,

Bathing in its anguish,

Praying for it to stay.

We wish never to laugh,

Never to be happy and to never feel good.

All because we wish to hold on to the remnant of what we've lost.

I was given no choice,

I had to extinguish my love.

My heart aches knowing I can never again see her face,

I hurt and I cry,

Because she can't know my reasons.

I just don't want her being as hurt as I.

Good job man. Sometimes things prevent us from having love. It can be found with other people thankfully. Keep your chin up, this one just wasn't the right one is all.

There isn't much to say really. I don't feel like being poetic about this right now. I'm sixteen, I love writing poetry, and I'm bit of a hopeless romantic. I enjoy spending my time with the arts, and.. more..
