Little JoA Poem by Jo ZapataWishing for my old self.
Little Jo She runs in the wind, and I run in the car. She prays on her knees, and I lay me down. She laughs! I cry. She dreams! I dread… She writes poetry and music. I write school notes and excuses. She giggles! I smile. She wiggles! I creak… She hopes and prays. I just pray. Lordy I need her to come back . . . -Jo- March 10, 1991 9:25 p.m. San Antonio, TX © 2011 Jo Zapata |
