Little Jo

Little Jo

A Poem by Jo Zapata
"

Wishing for my old self.

"

         Little  Jo

She runs in the wind, and

I run in the car.

She prays on her knees, and

I lay me down.

She laughs!

I cry.

She dreams!

I dread…

She writes poetry and music.

I write school notes and excuses.

She giggles!

I smile.

She wiggles!

I creak…

She hopes and prays.

I just pray.

Lordy I need her to come back . . .
