Ode to Sleep

Ode to Sleep

A Poem by Solitude
"

This was one of my poems from a 7th grade English project. I've decided to resurrect it!

"
On Monday
In the morning,
I don't
Want
To leave my bed.
At six in the morning,
My alarm
Wakes me,
And I cover my ears.
The alarm
Rips
Off my covers
And ring,
Ring,
Rings loudly
In my ears.
I cover my head
With a pillow
To mask the noise.
My alarm
Pushes me roughly,
Then resorts to sitting
On my back.
"Alright!" I groan wearily,
Then climb out of bed,
My sweet,
Forgiving,
Bed, ready for a new day.
Night comes unmercifully late,
And when it does,
I lay and sleep
Ready for another
Rude
Awakening.

About
I love to write about everything; my sword, my life, my friends, my problems, pretty much anything that first comes to mind. I'd love to say that I was born with a pen and a book in my hand, though t.. more..
