The Lonely Woman

The Lonely Woman

A Poem by Solitude
"

I wrote this from a postcard image. The picture I used on here isn't the same as the one I was inspired by.

"
Her eyes are wide open, she's wrapped all in white
To cover her senses, and show only sight.
The veil that she sees through is binding her tight.
Does she wear it from sorrow, maybe from fright?

Her eyes, they are empty like clear colored rocks.
Her eyes are a curtain, her feelings she blocks.
The world is a joker, it's she who it mocks.
She's learned that Opportunity never knocks.

She looks at you sadly, you can sense her plea.
Will she never be happy, and never feel glee?
Has she given up now, will she ever see?
She has a true meaning, she just has to be free.

About
I love to write about everything; my sword, my life, my friends, my problems, pretty much anything that first comes to mind. I'd love to say that I was born with a pen and a book in my hand, though t.. more..
