when you look around

there is one thing that is apparent

and plain to see

the world is cruel

the world is unfair

the world is unkind

people live people die

others struggle just to get by

nothing changes for them

their life is full of struggle and strife

but no matter what

there’s one thing that you must know

no matter how things look

things will get better

you are not alone

the world isn't as bad as you think

 

for there are others

in situations like yours

and others

who are willing to bear

the weight

that you carry

to raise you up

out of whatever ever dark

and dreary hole you lie in

to help them get up

and move forward
