The Soiled CircleA Poem by Hawaiian_fireRetitling 3/22/201For you I’d paint the sky in that moment, but your eyes fall upon me empty forlorn fleeting.
Thunder, it comes. Rain, millions of drops splattering heavily, beating me into the smallest ball. Spineless, I slither away Oh, I am stuck, like soiled gum on the sole of your shoe.
I am stuck, like a maggot on a sunny sidewalk waiting to be exhumed. You denied the clandestine love we made again and again. Cold Ashes and lies, hides. Black curtains and rendezvous. Oh, I am stuck, like a worm in an apple who devoured everything but the seed
I am stuck like a tiger chasing bait to the poachers with greed.
I deny the unpolished truth we relive again and again. Piss colored puddles laced cigarettes red scented lamps, and daisy chains. Oh, I am stuck like phlegm lodged in your blacken lungs.
I am stuck like the bloody splinter wedged under your weathered satined nails,
And I am sick, for I long, for I linger, for I love, lust, then leave. -See you again tomorrow. August 31, 2010 © 2021 Hawaiian_fire |
