A Word for You

A Word for You

A Poem by Hawaiian_fire

God speaks a language
unknown to man.
In his golden chariot
he wheels around
the heavens
and with words
he creates
beauty that no
mortal could
possibly conceive.

We as humankind hunger
to hear an utter of sound,
to embrace it
into our language
as one of our own.

We beg
 to posses the knowledge
to speak of the divine.
-Ignorant we wander
and wrestle with this fact.

As I gaze upon
your beautiful face,
my helpless heart aches
with frustrating pain.

For there is no sound,
no word of man
ever created
that could ever
describe what
lies there.

So,
I shall beg the lord
for all eternity
in hope
that he will have
mercy on this
tormented soul!

Release the word
that will free this
troubled heart
-so I may once call you by it.
