Reflection of You

Reflection of You

A Poem by Hawaiian_fire

Loneliness can dull

even the brightest moonlight

on this starry July night

and I cannot help but to cry over you.

Sitting alone on the very beach

where we once swam at night as lovers

causes the most bittersweet pain.

I don't know why I do this,

I guess I just don't want to forget

your smile

your kiss

your caress,

and the way I looked

reflected in your eyes

on the day you said

you couldn't love me.
