The Puppeteer

The Puppeteer

A Poem by M'Fun Keap
"

Don't let nothing scare you. Your Father is BOSS!

"

I sit as one in the audience.

Everything around and about that concerns me

Anything related to and has something to do with me,

All have strings that lead to my Father.

When a horror show I face

When my eyes beholds a scary mien

I will not be afraid of this puppet's face

For I know My Father, the puppeteer.

I love the secret way Father calls me backstage,

Together, we giggle as HE shows me HE is in control.

Whispering in my ears "Shhh… Don't think it is the devil because..."

"Even the devil has strings, and it leads to me."

When I go in and life yells "boo!”

And everyone screams and cowers in fear.

I chuckle and laugh; it's Papa's voice I hear.

Through the roar, whispering… "I will always love you dear".

When the devil sees I have no fear,

He wonders if his secret I know.

“His strings lead to my puppeteer so…

He has NO POWER of his own.”

So when life seems to throw you a scare

This secret our Father told me to share

To those who are called to be his own

Come backstage; you’ll giggle, taunt back and say "boooooo who?"
