Hardest Word to say!

Hardest Word to say!

A Poem by M'Fun Keap
"

A conversation between an old man and his dying wife

"

M: The lump in my throat is too heavy for me to bear

I feel like there’s a pebble in my throat that’s stifling my air

I'm struggling to speak...and say that I love you

But I'm too busy fighting back these tears...

W: Seems to me it’s a lost battle...

For I feel little streams making their way down my wrinkled face

Each time I feel my spirit drain when I sigh...

As you turn and say "goodbye..."

M: They say there’s a 10 second count set by the ones above

When you need to get back or save the ones you love

But as each second ticks away...

I feel it harder these words to say!

W: I can’t help but think when I'm gone will you remember me?

Or would the sands of time erase thy memory of me?

Would you still love me as thou art my dear...?

Or would you have given another your heart to share?

W: With every last breath remaining I whisper..."

My love for you remains unchanging!"

For I'm not drawn to you by the things I see...

But the bond that we both feel!

M: Now as I slowly watch you drift away my dearest...

Know that in this life or the next you will be missed

And as you walk out my door I beat my chest and scream

     "Bueno adiós...a la que amo!"
