Writer's Block

Writer's Block

A Poem by Chris

Looking for the switch
to the idea light.
Cursed by the witch
hidden in the night.
No idea to spare
for my pen and pad.
So I sit and stare
rather blank and sad.
Despite my strives
to locate a clue.
Since nothing arrives,
I guess this will do.

Yup. That's writer's block. Write something, hate it, sit and stare at the paper, write something else and just say, "Okay, that's gonna do for now..."

I could feel the frustration in this. It actually made me frustrated (I've had writer's block for weeks now). Thanks for sharing, because misery loves company.

This poem describes writer's block perfectly! I am not normally a fan of poetry since I think most poetry is like a frilly dress with too many adornments. I most say though that I do like this poem, because it is concise and clear on the subject. You did a great job!
