Ranting?

Ranting?

A Story by Chris

Why must I follow a path? Questions rise upon the minds of the young and old. None are ever followed by the desired answers. Why must we ask questions if we already have an answer? No I'm not claiming that we know the answers to everything. I'm merely stating that when we question something, why must we ask others? Why can't we go within and find the answers for ourselves? Is it too difficult for any of us to accept that maybe we already know the answer or do we need someone else to see the same way we see? If ignorance is bliss, then why are we never happy not knowing? Why can we not simply live blissful and ignorant of the world around us? To end where I began, why do we ask questions and get upset over the answers? I ask and yet I am not sure I want an answer.

I could relate to what your saying. I like the part where you said, "If ignorance is bliss, then why are we never happy not knowing?"

I like tangents :)

As individuals we feed off this idea of "independence", yet in order to validate our original thoughts, we remain hopelessly locked to a needed support system.

My own critique might be the ending, where you mention you "end where you began", yet pose a question not actually found at the very beginning. In this short of a piece, such a phrase feels redundant anyways.
Just a thought. I know this is free-flowing.

I enjoyed it, particularly the final line.

In Respect,
Akroma
