The Torrent

The Torrent

A Poem by Travis Lawrence

Nostalgia passes

in presents

of intellect and evolution

within the senses,

sorely turns over sleeping

eyes to face a sordid ceiling

as anxious dreams

and wisps of thick smoky spheres

beat these bloody

living veins

like wasp wings,

I breathe

jealously frustrated,

looking to the torrent

out over my lost lives

and love.
