White Bricks

White Bricks

A Poem by Travis Lawrence

I’ve hit white

bricks with riled fists

clenched and thick,

my synapse signals

slowly sent from supine cells

fall swift and floating,

soft like silky blue water

drops from distant rivers

into self love and loathing,

attachments tied with broken fingers

So powerful. White bricks... what an intriguing image. Contrasted with the blue water...

" into self love and loathing,
attachments tied with broken fingers"

Self love and loathing... the poison contradiction.
The structure is perfect. The images are clear.
