Watery Abysses

Watery Abysses

A Poem by Travis Lawrence

The watery abysses I’d sink to,

if salty stones stuck on my toes

could depress and dissolve my soreness,

would look like blue sun sky glances

peeling through transparent surface glass,

ebbed and flown, fatigued and crass,

but my closed eyes can’t see

anything but black light and nestled dreams.

A picture perfect poem if there ever was one.
You reeled me into this watery abyss and kept me there throughout.

Nice and short. Loved the into and onto... sinking into depths and sticking onto toes... the effect of which alleviates.... reminds me of endless summer days that flowed in unison with the blowing coastal breezes and the rustling of a billion different leaves and branches, very dreamy indeed!
