Stormy WeatherA Poem by Travis LawrenceA metaphor for pain, inspired by true eventsA sideways storm, alluring from my window. The snow, flakes like falling corn, sparked a misty wind, but slowly the spotty flakes fell from cloud to ground, each unique, but until one is found they drop anonymous as rain, which can’t be brushed off a scarf, but soaks anon into clothing. A lonely snow storm will slow by its own strength, lay to rest, sore, born to simmer as summer grows. © 2008 Travis Lawrence |
