Ocean Maracas

Ocean Maracas

A Poem by Travis Lawrence
"

Oh this would be a happy day!

"

Why should

Rejection hurt

Like a morose motion,

Spiraled in and out?

Kick it down,

Keep it down,

Dance above its

Dirty coffin

With ocean maracas,

Shake the music

That cleans spotless

Sooty malaise

To a blue and yellow day,

Where wind bleeds

its fleetly rush

to my lungs with breath.

This was really good! It was almost lyrical! (If you know what I mean)
