A Bullet In My HeadA Poem by Travis LawrenceNot to be taken literally...Elusory outbursts summarily recur within my cognizance, mostly spun reminiscence that still spins recreant faces of faintheartedness. They prolong a whisper of, “Give up, give up.” It tortures me, pulling my chest cavity down, low and heavy. My throat follows its lead. Well, you can see now it’s gone straight for my head, with a gun. © 2008 Travis LawrenceReviews
