Mild MaryA Poem by Travis LawrenceAh, she will never let me down.I love the burning of my lungs when I inhale her sweet green, then taste her on my tongue, a peaceful ease into serenity. The trivial troubles I had found are now sweat on my skin in a Barton Springs sun steamed by the singe. So judge me if you shall, but of this I am not shy, instead of coming down, I’d rather stay up high. It is my philosophy that the world would be calmer if mild Mary was everyone’s lover. © 2008 Travis LawrenceAuthor's Note
