GuidanceA Poem by Travis LawrenceWhat will I be?They once asked me what I wanted to be. But, I’m only thirteen, I couldn’t say surely. No, I won’t agree. How can I see who I will be when I’m 23? So pardon me for not participating in this ludicrous activity! They said they’d fail me, but I got a B. I smiled, merely, so cheerfully. “He’s right, certainly,” they admitted, candidly. Hehe. But now I’m 23, almost, and lately, wonder what I’ll be even tomorrow evening. And, what about at 33? Ironically, time these words are wasting. Lost a little lonely, I can’t believe, but at least I can think. © 2008 Travis Lawrence |
