LucentA Poem by Travis Lawrence
The dream I had
last, the night she softened her eyes into natural pools of warm ice, melted inside me slowly, and that patient lucidity still swims around in my head. In six years since, this is distinctly nostalgia. Able for a careful touch, to just lay my head on her shoulder in a singular dreamscape, the long and light hair sunk beneath my lucent skin. I sighed, and knew just to see her, in this moment, in this time, satisfied.
