Two Feet

Two Feet

A Poem by Travis Lawrence

Watch the slim smile move

to crescent moons,

timelessly risen in slenderness.

The movement separates

and dissipates into our own rooms,

to sleep in tired dreams

where brash affection can’t quite recognize its place.

I stood on slipping rocks

and fell balanced to them,

sharply, on two feet.
