Awakening

Awakening

A Poem by Nobody
"

This is one I wrote in summer of 2007.

"

dawn in the long wet grass
i walk disturbing ghosts

you pallid moths rise up
round my legs in starry clouds

and I too shall rise up
out of this tangled life

A friend sent me a read request for your poem and I am glad to have been introduced to it. The image you present is one easily identified with. Your words were well chosen and I could feel the brushing against my leg of the grass, or was it the pallid moths? (love that image)

An incredible epiphany in so few lines. I think I've been in that same wet, sticky field, with the humidity of impending sunrise on the back of my neck. I absolutely love the imagery in this poem; I can feel it.

I like this one very much: the images, the tenderness, the whole atmosphere and indeed the message. Bravo for the courage to continue, I hope with good outlooks!

I like your choice of words.

and each pair of lines explains a point... a very thorough poem...
and beautifully written!
